Well it could signify the symptom of an std. However, yes it is possible to get normal pimples in this area, particularly around the base of the penis where fine hairs grow, but I'm not really sure that you can determine whether or not it is just a normal pimple just by looking at it. I would suggest to him that he should go to the doctor. But if you know that it is not possible for him to have an std, as in he hasnt slept with anyone but you, and you have only slept with him, then dont worry about it.

There's really no way to answer your question with the information we have been given. Are you sure its a pimple? Its could be lots of things--a chancre comes to mind (in which case he has syphillis, it could also be gonorrhea), where is it located? It simply could be just an infected hair follicle. Need more information to figure this one out. but if you have any doubts, either have no sex or make him wear a rubber. A rubber is likely to prevent transmission if its an STD. He needs to figure out whether its a just a pimple or something worse and that may mean seeing a doctor.
Only if it is really ONLY a pimple! Sometimes herpes can look like pimples. If you DO have sex, use a condom, and also if it is a pimple, tell him to use a hot compress (wash-cloth or towel in hot water) on it to open the pores so it will go away sooner. I wouldn't suggest popping it given the location. He just needs to wash better.

If it's further down the shaft, it can be a common blocked pore or an ingrown hair. If so, it's just a minor aggravation to the Dude!...One of those small hastles in life that can be dealt with and it will go away. A close look will easily tell if you are familiar with them!
